I am beyond excited to share something close to my heart with you today—my newest initiative, Pocket Full of Kindness! This campaign is about spreading love, encouragement, and kindness, one small embroidered creation at a time. Whether it’s for a loved one, a stranger in need, or yourself (because let’s be honest, we all need a little love too), this project is about making the world just a bit brighter—and stitching a smile along the way.
The Mission of Pocket Full of Kindness
We all know the power of kindness. A small act can change someone’s day—maybe even their life. As an embroiderer, I wanted to create something tangible that could serve as a hug, encouraging word, or gentle reminder that someone cares. Pocket Full of Kindness is my way of combining creativity with compassion. I want YOU to be part of it!
The mission is simple:
- Create small embroidered treasures that spread positivity and joy. Let’s think of things that fit in your pocket and feel like a warm hug whenever you need it.
- Share the love: Make one for yourself, give one as a gift, or donate it to someone in need.
- Build a community of makers and givers who believe that even the smallest stitches can make a big difference.
Whether you’re gifting it to a friend who’s had a tough week, donating a batch to your local shelter, or handing one to a stranger who looks like they need a smile—you’re making the world a little kinder.
How It Works
This initiative is all about sharing and caring—and I’m making it as easy (and fun!) as possible for everyone to join in:
- Make one: I’ll be releasing special embroidery designs made just for this initiative, including simple and meaningful creations like Pocket Hugs, Comfort Critters, and more. Then you can use these to create something beautiful for yourself or to share. Next, you’ll want to consider giving one for each one you make.
- Give one: Share your creation with someone who needs a little extra love—a friend, family member, neighbor, or even a complete stranger. You can also donate your creations to organizations, hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, or schools where a pocket-sized hug could go a long way.
- Share your kindness: Post a photo of your finished creation on social media using the hashtag #PocketFullOfKindness and let’s inspire others to get involved.
What’s Coming Next
I’ve been working behind the scenes to bring you some adorable and heartfelt designs that I can’t wait to share! Starting this Friday, I’ll release the very first Pocket Full of Kindness design as part of my weekly Friday Freebie. It will be a perfect way to jump into the initiative and start spreading kindness.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Pocket Hugs – Little embroidered keepsakes meant to fit into someone’s pocket as a reminder that they’re loved.
- Encouragement Pins – Cute and inspiring designs to pin on jackets, backpacks, or hats.
- Comfort Critters – Adorable little stuffies that feel like a hug in the palm of your hand.
- And more as the campaign grows!
Plus, for every Pocket Full of Kindness design I release, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to charities and organizations that empower and uplift women. Then I’ll keep you updated on the milestones we reach and where donations are going—because kindness is even better when it’s shared.
Why This Matters
As makers, we have a unique opportunity to create something meaningful—something that can touch someone’s heart. Pocket Full of Kindness is about more than embroidery; it’s about reminding people that they’re seen, loved, and valued. And in the process, we’re building a community of kindness that will ripple out in ways we can’t even imagine.
So, who’s ready to spread a little kindness with me? Mark your calendars for this Friday and stay tuned for the first Pocket Full of Kindness design. Now let’s make something beautiful together and stitch the world a little brighter, one pocket hug at a time. Be sure to stop by the shop soon where you’ll see new categories just for these designs!
Stay kind, stay crafty, and let’s do this! 💖
